*How would your best friend describe you? if you don't know --- ask them!
Well, Ern says…he thinks I am loving, compassionate, honest, and patient.
* Please tell us about your family and/or those that participate in your daily life (including your furkids).
Ern is my sweet hubby. We will be married 7 years on June 15th. Jessie is our baby girl, well, her Daddy would say “his baby girl!” She truly is exceptional, full of spirit and personality. Jess is definitely more into us humans because I think she thinks she is human. LOL! We consider her the queen of the house! Blake is the baby boy. I share every waking moment with him near me, following me. Blake is a momma’s boy for sure. He gives us so much love and bring smiles and laughter to our lives every day.
* What is one or two of your "passions" in life? (besides Mastiffs... we all have that at the top of our list )
Assisting other dogs in need…getting them to a Rescue or their forever homes through transport.
* What is something that very few (if any) of your online friends know about you?
I am a Hoosier, born in IN. I was a cheerleader all through school.
* What is your dream vacation?
My dream vacation would be a long trip to a secluded island soaking up the sun with Ern and the ‘babies!’
* How did you become involved in Mastiffs? and how many have you owned?
Ern was the one who became interested in Mastiffs initially. I was skeptical because of their size, but now he says, I would get rid of him before the dogs! LOL! He might just be right! Several years before we were married he read and researched the breed. Neither of our parents would allow us to have a dog until we had our own place. Two months after we married, we added Jess to our family. Blake came into our lives 2 years later. We have owned two Mastiffs, Jessie & Blake.
* In your experiences, what is one way Mastiffs differ from other breeds?
Growing up I only remember two dogs that we had as a family, a Miniature Snauzer, Muffin, and a mix, Baron. Our two Mastiffs are the first two dogs I have owned and have had sole responsibility for…I would have to say that the bond these dogs make with you is like no other. They long to be with you in everything you do and be close to you at all times.
* What is your FAVORITE thing about your Mastiff(s)? and what is your LEAST FAVORITE thing about your Mastiff(s)?
I love Jess’ zest for life, her love for people, and the way she soaks your face giving you kisses! I love the way Blake smooshes his head into our legs when he gets excited or just wants some lovin’! I love the sound of their thumping tails when we come home!
My least favorite things are probably drool & hair, but I must expect that is part of the package. I hate that Blake feels he has to be so cautious of people and that he sees most things as threatening.
* Briefly describe some of the things you have learned by participating as a member of MOC.
I have no idea where to start. Does “everything” count as an answer?!
* What role do you play on the MOC Staff Team?
I was asked to join the staff to help with the contests. Geri (ladyfire) and I share the responsibility of organizing the contests on MOC. I am also a moderator, but still learning the ropes!
