DOTM Interview By: Beauregard (logdog)
Phone rings.
Beau: Hi ladies, this is Beauregard calling to interview you for Dog of the Month.
Molly: Beau!!? OMG Emma, isn't this the greatest! We get to talk to Beau. Hey there Beau baby, how's it going?
Emma: Are you serious?... DOTM! Like her head was not big enough already...
Beau: Molly, I understand that you have a thing for vacuum cleaners. Can you tell us about it?
Molly: Sure Beau! I thought it was a toy, so like all toys, I attack and destroy! Whenever Annie tried to vacuum the house I would pounce right for its neck and go in for the kill. But Annie started treating me with hotdogs to leave it alone and just lay on the bed! Can you imagine? Getting hotdog treats to just lay down and do nothing? Don't get me wrong, that vacuum would have made a great toy, but food rules! Now, if I can only train Annie to bring my dinner to my bed, I think I will finally have her wrapped around my finger...errr...paw....
Emma: Yeah, well, I used to get the good treats too, way back in the day.... trust me, all the goodies stop when they notice that you've put on a few extra pounds...
Beau: Who is the boss at your house?
Molly: Oh, that's an easy one. Annie is the boss, she has the gun. I consider anyone holding the firearm to be the boss.
Emma: I won't argue that...
Beau: What is your favorite toy?
Molly: I don't have a favorite toy anymore. I used to have a talking stuffed monkey. It was the greatest thing ever, you should have heard it scream out when I would bite it! but...umm... I don't know what happened. I seem to have woken up from a nap and there was stuffing all over the place....weird huh?
Emma: ((looks up at the ceiling))
Beau: What is the best trick you have played on Annie?
Molly: Emma taught me how to open doors, so I ran to the back door, opened it, and went inside the house. Mom thought I ran off so she frantically started looking for me, calling my name... I got distracted by the TV...
Emma: Yeah, I kept leading her away from the house, down the driveway, to make Mom think that Molly took off that way...
Molly: Yep, when Mom finally gave up looking for me and came back inside, she found me on the couch watching Animal Planet. Haha!
Emma: I can still remember the look of shock on her face...We really had her scared there for a while!
Beau: Do you have a favorite game you like to play?
Molly: I like playing hide and seek with Mom and Dad. Dad will go hide and Mom tells me to find him and when I do, he gives me really tasty treats! Then he tells me to go find Mom and when I do, she gives me even more treats! Actually, I like any game where the prize is tasty treats.
Emma: I like playing tug of war with Dad because he always lets me win. I like playing Keep Away with Mom. I will go steal dad's socks out of the laundry basket and bring them up to Mom. Just when she reaches to take them from me, I growl and turn my head so she cant get them. Then I make her chase me throughout the house.
Beau: What is it like having Annie for a Mom?
Molly: She's cool. Dad is cool, too. I get lots of hugs and kisses everyday from both of them. Sometimes dad will act like a dog and play with me. We wrestle on the floor and he barks at me and even lets me jump on him! Mom has this special way she scratches my ears...ohhh I love it when she scratches my ears! Oh, and bellyrubs too. I can't get enough of them!
Emma: Mom is great. When she's in the kitchen preparing dinner, she always slips me something tasty while Molly is not looking. This way I don't have to share. I also like it when Dad takes me to work with him. He lets me ride in the big excavator. You should see the holes he can dig! Dad always shares his lunch with me too. Sometimes he even gets me an icecream cone or gives me a piece of cake. We don't tell Mom though, because I'm supposed to be on a diet.
Molly: Mom started letting me go to work with her. I like to run down the hallways and explore. There are lots and lots of rooms with people locked inside them. I don't know what that is all about. I haven't figured it out yet. She doesn't let me play with them either. When she works in the room with all the cctv monitors, it can be boring because Animal Planet does not play on any of them. But she gives me kongs stuffed with frozen peanut butter and soup bones to pass the time, so it's not so bad.
Beau: What is your favorite treat?
Emma: Ice cream. I have a sweet tooth.
Molly: Daddy's homemade beef jerky. Mmmm, so yummy!
Emma: Ewww, go wipe your face...you're getting drool all over the phone!
Beau: What do you hate more than anything?
Molly: Getting my nails clipped. I want my nails to grow long so I can get them painted ruby red, but Mom keeps cutting them! Oh I hate it so much when she cuts them, Grrrrr....
Emma: Pay her no mind Beau. She still has some issues we have not worked out yet...
Beau: If you could have one wish what would it be?
Molly: To meet you Beau! You are so handsome...do you want to meet up sometime? Do ya? do ya??
Beau: Gosh Molly, I think I'm blushing.
Emma: I got my one wish a long time ago, when I was adopted by Annie and Dale. My wish was to be loved and have a forever home. Wishes do come true.
Beau: Thanks for the interview, I have enjoyed talking to you.
Molly: Cool, so now that the interview is over, do you want to sit and chit chat for a while there Beau baby?
Emma: ((Gags)) I'm outa here... Bye Beau!
Beau: I gotta go now, I think I hear Dad calling me. Bye.
